"During the talks, the Secretary General and the Tourism Minister emphasised on the proactive approach to make tourism an important global political and economic agenda," a Tourism Ministry release said.
Chiranjeevi also told Rifai about efforts taken by the Indian government to ease the visa regime.
Chiranjeevi also invited Rifai for 25th Joint Meeting of UNWTO Commissions for East Asia and the Pacific and South Asia.
The meeting will be held in Hyderabad on 12th and 13th April.
