While Vrindavan and Mathura top the list of cities to be connected with the capital in keeping with high religious tourism potential, Agra, Muzaffarnagar and Meerut too are being considered by the PHHL for chopper connectivity, an official spokesperson said.
A technical team of the helicoper firm has already visited Vrindavan and Mathura in the last few days and held discussions with local administration on issues like helipad sites, security and passengers facilitation.
Discussions with the Uttar Pradesh government for necessary support would be held soon, the spokesperson said.
Survey and feasibility study of chopper operations to Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Mathura and Agra are also being planned, he said.
The PHHL is planning to provide the seamless air connectivity between Delhi and neighbouring towns, not only to promote tourism, but also facilitate carriage of critical patients to multi-speciality hospitals in the capital, he said.
