"If someone raises slogans against Bharat Mata, doesn't it amount to sedition?" Chouhan asked.
The Chief Minister was replying to a question on JNU controversy at the party office here.
"BJP is with all sections of society and stands for development of all. But if someone disrespects Bharat Mata, then its not acceptable," Chouhan said.
The controversy at the Delhi-based premier educational institute erupted last week over holding of an event on the campus against the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru. During the event, anti-India slogans were alleged to have been raised.
