"I feel very strongly that unless Chouhan resigns, there cannot be an impartial probe into the MPPEB scam. The Congress had been raising the MPPEB issue since the last one year," Scindia told reporters after a meeting held here to review the work carried out by the district administration.
Congress had accused Chouhan and his family members of being involved in the MPPEB scam.
"I don't understand why Chouhan is not recommending a CBI probe into the MPPEB scam. Now that there is BJP in power at the Centre as well, there should not be any problem in accepting state government's recommendation for a CBI probe," he added.
Talking to reporters in Indore yesterday, Scindia had raised questions over the probe into the scam being presently conducted by the Special Task Force (STF) and sought the CBI to investigate the case.
