The LA Police Department is currently investigating the matter after Brown's attorney Mark Geragos received the threats at his office, reported TMZ.
The caller threatened the singer's life, although it is unclear what specific threats were made.
Geragos took the threats very seriously and immediately reported them to the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department).
Brown courted controversy in 2009 after he assaulted 'R&B' singer and his then girlfriend Rihanna. The pair rekindled their romance in recent months but thought to have split once again.
"(Rihanna's) doing her thing, she's on the road. There's always going to be love, but I'm just going to do with me," Brown had said.
