Chris Brown wins big at Soul Train Awards

R&B singer Chris Brown emerged as the biggest winner at the 2014 Soul Train Awards by bagging three trophies.
The 25-year-old star, who led this year's nominations with seven, took home three awards including Best Hip-Hop Song of the Year, Best Dance Performance and Best Collaboration all for the Lil Wayne and Tyga-assisted 'Loyal', reported Aceshowbiz.
Pharrell Williams' 'Happy' was named Song of the Year after edging out competitors like John Legend's 'All of Me', Beyonce Knowles' 'Drunk in Love' and Drake's 'Hold On, We're Going Home'.
The Grammy Award-winning producer's smashing hit also came out as the winner in the Video of the Year category.
Beyonce, meanwhile, beat the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Ledisi, Marsha Ambrosius, Jhene Aiko and Janelle Monae for the Best R&B/Soul Female Artist title. She additionally nabbed the Album of the Year award for her 2013 self-titled effort.
Other winners included Nico & Vinz (Best New Artist), Trey Songz (Best R&B/Soul Male Artist), Legend (Record of the Year for 'All of Me') and American jazz group Kool & the Gang which was honoured with Lifetime Achievement award.

The 2014 Soul Train Awards was taped at the Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada on November 7 with Wendy Williams as the host.
Brown performed a medley of his old and new hits at the event, which aired BET last evening. Reuniting on the stage for the first time in years was 1990s American band Jodeci.
The group played some of their greatest hits including 'Freek'n You', 'Come & Talk to Me', 'Stay' and 'Forever My Lady'. They also enlisted the help of singer BoB to debut their new single 'Nobody Wins'.
