Chris Pine in talks to star in coast guard drama

Actor Chris Pine is in talks to star in Disney's 'The Finest Hours', a period coast guard drama.
Craig Gillespie is in talks to direct the film which is based on the true story about two oil tankers caught in a storm, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Gillespie most recently directed sports drama 'Million Dollar Arm', which has Indian actors Suraj Sharma (Life of Pi) and Madhur Mittal (Slumdog Millionaire).
Jon Hamm starrer Million Dollar Arm, another true story, is about a sports agent who scouts cricket players in India to play Major League Baseball.
'The Finest Hour' is inspired by the true story of a 1952 incident when a Noreaster hit the New England coast, and two oil tankers were caught in the middle.
The ships split in two, casting its crews into the ferocious seas, and it was up to the valiant effort of the coast guard to attempt a rescue.
Lion Dollar Arm stars Jon Hamm as a sports agent who scouts cricket players in India to play Major League Baseball and opens May 16.
Pine most recently starred in 'Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit'. He is also returning for 'Star Trek' movie.
