At a press conference here today national core committee member K Prabhu Kumar and party official spokesman Suvarta Raju announced that the decade-old recognised national party would strive for "social justice" to all sections.
"Though the party has many Christians on its rolls, it is totally secular in its character and wedded to the welfare of all sections especially weaker sections, Dalits and the downtrodden, besides the minorities.
"It respects religious sentiments of all communities and strives for communal harmony. It's main aim is to establish a new society free from corruption and social evils," they claimed.
It also stresses on revoking Government Order 746 and 747 which "usurp" the rights of the Christian community.
Later, Prabhu Kumar announced the new committee for the party's East Godavari district unit, with T Stephen Babu as the president, David Raju as the general secretary and Suvarta Raju as the treasurer.
