Nolan, considered one of the most innovative filmmakers in Hollywood today, said that the spy movie series has inspired his films like "Batman Begins" and "Inception", and he is seriously considering the possibility of directing a 007 film in future, reported Aceshowbiz.
The 41-year-old filmmaker said that a few years ago he had expressed interest in helming the franchise based on the books by Ian Fleming.
"It would have to be the right situation and the right time in their cycle of things," he said.
The latest installment in the Bond film franchise, "Skyfall", is due to open in the US on November 9. Sam Mendes has directed the film with Daniel Craig returning as the flamboyant secret agent for the third time after "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace".
