The acclaimed British director will talk about collaborations between film and other creative industries including TV, music, art, games and creative technology, said The Hollywood Reporter.
LFF Connects Film will take place on October 9.
Visual artist Tacita Dean and director of the Austrian Film Museum, Alexander Horwarth, will also address the session to be moderated by BFI creative director Heather Stewart.
"This year we launch a new direction for the BFI London Film Festival's industry engagement programme - building on the position of London as one of the world's leading creative cities - with LFF Connects, a series of events designed to look at the future of film and its intersection with the wider creative industries," said Festival director Clare Stewart.
