Churk coldest in UP with 0.6 deg C

Fog and cold wave conditions continued to prevail in most parts of Uttar Pradesh as Churk in Sonbhadra district recorded the coldest place in the state with minimum temperature at 0.6 degrees Celsius.
According to MeT department, night temperature rose appreciably in Gorakhpur division, rose in Faizabad and Agra divisions and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state.
It was markedly below normal in Varanasi division, appreciably below normal in Bareilly, Agra divisions, below normal in Gorakhpur, Allahabad, Lucknow, Jhansi divisions and normal in the Meerut division.
Lowest minimum temperature was 0.6 degrees Celsius recorded at Churk.
Weather would be dry and fog would occur at most places in the state tomorrow, the weatherman predicted.
