Churu in Rajasthan recorded the highest temperature of 43.4 degrees Celsius today, as many regions in the desert state crossed the 40 degree-mark.
Barmer and Jaisalmer recorded 43.1 degrees each followed by 42.9 degrees in Kota, 42.6 degrees in Bikaner, 42.2 degrees in Dabok, 41.7 degrees in Jodhpur, 41.5 degrees in Jaipur, 41.2 degrees each in Sriganganagar and Ajmer, and 39.2 degrees Celsius in Pilani, a MeT official said.
Kota and Jaipur recorded 6.5 mm and 0.1 mm rainfall, respectively, he said.
The weatherman has also warned of dust storm/thunderstorm coupled with rainfall at isolated places in the state in the next 24 hours.
