 "CIDCO asks Navi Mumbai hospitals to share MIS data on patients")
The Vice-chairman and Managing Director of CIDCO Sanjay Bhatia gave these directives to representatives of the hospital management in a meeting here yesterday.
As per the clause in the lease deed signed by the hospitals it is binding on them to reserve some beds for the citizens below poverty line and economically weaker section as they have to run hospitals built on CIDCO plots on a no-loss no-profit basis.

The meeting was called after CIDCO received complaints of non-compliance. Eleven representatives of the hospitals who attended the meeting included Mahatma Gandhi Memorial group, D Y Patil Hospital, Navi Mumbai Municipal Hospital, Mathadi Kamgar Union Hospital and Punjab Kesari Hospital.
Bhatia clarified that CIDCO neither intended to intrude hospitals' administration nor was policing in this matter but it was the duty of the Corporation to see it that the valuable land that was allotted at nominal rates is being used for the right purposes.
He appreciated the CSR initiatives of the hospitals that were put forth in the meeting by their representatives and appealed them to share the data of Management Information System which will be uploaded on the CIDCO website.
Joint Managing Director V Radha said the clause binding on the management has mentioned that there should be some quota for the project affected persons and it should not be mixed up with BPL and EWS. PAPs form a separate deserving category, she added.
CIDCO has set up a three-member committee comprising Chandrashekhar Vaze, Dr Mrudula Phadke and Vrishali Magdum to look into the matter. The committee will issue a circular to these hospitals and define the deserving categories.
