President Pranab Mukherjee handed over the award to CIL Chairman Sutirtha Bhattacharya on August 29 at a function in Rashtrapati Bhawan, a release said here today.
CIL and its subsidiaries are associated with promotion and development of sports within and outside the organisation for development of human capital, the release said.
The company promotes rural sports in and around the areas of its operations, it added.
