Vidhu's latest offering as a producer-writer is 'Ferrari Ki Sawari' starring Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani in the lead. The film opened in cinema houses today.

"Cinema should do not be judged by the Rs 100 crore mark... I hate it. I am way ahead of this mark, I am four-five times ahead of it. Our films have done much more than this like Rs 400-450 crores. If 'Ferrari Ki Sawari' does Rs 100, 200 crores or even Rs two I would be happy as I know the film is very good and touching," Vidhu said at the film's premiere here last night.

"Cinema has a different value. The film should be good. The job of cinema is to entertain people," he said.

Vidhu's '3 Idiots' was made at a budget of around Rs 35 crores and it went on to do a business of approximately Rs 385 crores. His other film, 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' was made at a budget of Rs 12 crores and it earned Rs 119 crores at the box office. His latest film, 'Ferrari Ki Sawaari' is made at the budget of Rs 20 crores.

Filmmaker Raju Hirani, who directed both '3 Idiots' and 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' and has written dialogues for 'Ferrari Ki Sawari', says, "We don't make film keeping in mind how many crores a film should make. If that was the intention, then we would have made two-three films every year." (MORE)
