A 37-year-old Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable was found dead in his house in Outer Delhi's Bawana area, police said today.
According to the police, the deceased, identified as Satish Kumar, was a head constable in CISF and lived in Sector 4, CISF Quarters at Bawana.
"We received a call at around 9:30 AM. A police team rushed to the spot and found him lying on his bed unconscious. He was taken to Baba Saheb Ambedkar hospital where he was declared brought dead," said a police official.
He was alone at home when he was found unconscious by his brother-in-law. His wife was at her parents' home for the last few days. The cause of death seems to be due to consumption of a poisonous substance, police said.
The investigators are, however, questioning more people and waiting for the post-mortem report.
Investigators have not recovered any suicide note from the spot. Initial inquiry suggests he was depressed over some family issue, police said.
