The force, which has the maximum percentage of women in its ranks amongst all central police forces, will 'surrender' the male posts sanctioned to it in this regard and induct more than a thousand women under the proposed scheme.
This is the first time that a security force under the Union government will recruit this high number of women candidates in one recruitment rally.
The proposal, prepared under the instructions of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) chief Rajiv, will soon be sent to the Union Home Ministry for approval.
The unique recruitment rally is expected to be held during the period of June-August this year and the force will advertise the exact number of posts in newspapers and other media and communication avenues.
