City girl Sayrah shines at Delhi State Gymnastics C'ships

Local girl Sayrah sizzled at the 53rd Delhi State Gymnastics Championships as she bagged three gold medals and was adjudged 'Best All round Gymnast' at the recently concluded event.
Sayrah won gold on three apparatus - Floor, Vault and Beam in the competition conducted by Delhi Gymnastics Association from October 22-27.
A student of class ninth, Sayrah has been doing gymnastics since she was seven. She has won several medals over the years at the Delhi state and district level.
Sayrah helped Delhi team win its first-ever medal in girls' gymnastics at last year's Nationals in Patiala, when her side won bronze.

However, her next goal is to win an individual medal at the national meet.
Arvind Kumar of CISF team was declared All round Best Gymnast in the men's category. He won gold medals in Horizontal Bars, Parallel Bars and Pommel Horse, and in Roman Rings he grabbed silver.
Many schools and colleges from the NCR region participated in this championship.
