Both groups clashed during the party's preparatory meeting for the forthcoming Maharashtra Assembly polls recently which was addressed by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and State NCP chief Sunil Tatkare here on July 27.
Shailendra Tiwari lodged a complaint with Police yesterday against Patil, his wife Pragati, son Shubhankar and six others for allegedly robbing Rs 3,000 from him and threatening him with dire consequences and for chasing him with some sharp weapons.
However no arrests have been made so far.
When contacted, Patil said these complaints are out of political vengeance and he has not done anything wrong.
"Police can verify from CCTV. I am not seeking any anticipatory bail... If police wants to arrest me let them do so," Patil added.
