City surgeon takes charge as president of IEF

: A city-based Bariatric surgeon has assumed charge as president of Indian Chapter of International Exellence Federation (IEF).
Dr Praveen Raj, Head of Bariatric Surgery in Gem Hospital here, was elected as president at the two-day International Congress in Bariatric Surgery in Chennai recently.
The federation has more than 70 centres of excellence across the world, with 20 in India alone, an hospital release said today
The federation aims to standardize bariatric surgery in India and also to identify Centres of excellkence by establishing standard on par with other countries of world, it said.
