Delhi government today announced its parternship with an all-age festival, 'U/A', that has hosted some of the country's most popular festivals such as NH 7 Weekender and Stage 42 in the recent past.
It is an event introduced by the group 'Only Much Louder', the creators of the aforementioned events. The two-day-long programme, starting February 13, will be held at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.
"The festival features a diverse mix of experiences, music and comedy performances and a range of carefully picked activities. Even Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would be needing passes for it," Delhi Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra said.
"The single-window clearance system, the Delhi government's crackdown on corruption and every single minister's personal commitment to buy tickets instead of getting 'VIP Passes' has incentivised the event industry to come back to Delhi," Mishra said.
The festival will also feature food and flea markets featuring independent artists, craftspersons and entrepreneurs.
"The U/A Lab at the festival will allow visitors to check out nitrogen-led science experiments and a bioluminescent interactive installation," Mishra said.
