Civil Court to hold National Lok Adalat on Dec 6

A National Lok Adalat will be organised here in the civil court campus on December 6 on the directions of the Supreme Court, the main thrust of which would be reduce pendency of cases, a district and session's judge said here today.
The main thrust of the judges will be to "reduce the pendency" of cases of different categories including those of motor vehicle accidental claims on compromise basis in order to provide speedy justice to the suffering persons, District and Session's Judge Shashikant Pandey told reporters.
The judge who had visited the jail recently to enquire about the various categories of cases faced by the inmates which could be decided on a compromise basis said that he has directed the jail authorities to compile a list of such cases so that they may be decided in the Mega Lok Adalat.
As per the notification dated 09.09.2014, National Lok Adalat will be organised on December 6 in the Supreme Court to deal with matters related to labour, family laws, criminal law, mercantile and commercial transactions, among others.
