Civil services main exams results declared

The result of civil services main examination 2016 was declared today by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Personality test of the successful candidates is likely to commence from March 20.
The civil services examination is conducted annually by the UPSC in three stages - preliminary, main and interview - to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.
The main examinations were held from December 3 to 9, 2016 and its results have been declared, an official release said.
The successful candidates will be required to produce the original certificates in support of their claims pertaining to age, educational qualifications, community, physical handicap and other documents at the time of their personality test which will be held at the UPSC's office here, it said.
The date and time of personality test, which are likely to start from March 20, will not be intimated to the qualified candidates individually, the release said.

The date and time of candidates being called for personality test will be displayed on the Commission's website - https://bsmedia.business-standard.comwww.Upsc.Gov.In.
The candidates who are not able to download e-summon letter for the test should immediately contact the office of the Commission through letter or on these phone numbers - 011-23385271, 011-23381125, 011-23098543 or fax numbers - 011-23387310, 011-23384472.
"No paper summon letters will be issued for the personality test/interview by the Commission," it said.
No request for change in the date and time of the test intimated to the candidates will be entertained, the release said.
The mark sheets of candidates who have not qualified will be put on the Commission's website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result (after conducting interview) and will remain available there for a period of 60 days, it said.
