CJI Thakur arrives in Shimla on 3-day visit

Chief Justice of India TS Thakur today arrived here on a three-day visit during which he will lay the foundation of National Law University and deliver the convocation address at Himachal Pradesh University.
Thakur was accorded a warm welcome at Raj Bhawan by Governor Acharya Dev Vrat, Chief Justice of Himachal High Court Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and other judges of the High Court, Chief Secretary VC Pharka, DGP Sanjay Kumar and Vice chancellor of HPU Prof ADN Bajpai.
During his visit, Thakur would lay the foundation stone of National Law University at Ghandal, 14 km from here tomorrow and also inaugurate the Hostel Block of Judicial Academy campus at Ghandal.

He would deliver the convocation address at 23rd convocation of HPU and would also be conferred honorary LLD degree.
