CJM court rejects bail pleas of CISF jawans

A court today rejected the bail petitions of four CISF personnel arrested in connection with the violent clashes at Karipur airport here on June 10 in which one jawan was killed.
Chief Judicial Magistrate of Manjeri Jayakumar John dismissed the petitions when the matter came up for hearing, Inquiry Officer in the case and Circle Inspector B Santosh said.
The four jawans were arrested by the investigating team on June 14 on charges of damaging public properties during the clash between CISF personnel and Airports Authority of India employees.
Police have also arreted nine AAI officials besides asking CISF to hand over nine other personnel wanted in connection with the case. CISF has sought time till tomorrow.
The clash had erupted when a CISF man insisted an official of AAI's Fire Force department to undergo security check. In the melee, CISF constable S S Yadav died of gunshot injuries after a gun went off accidentally.
