Claims Commissioner seeks detail of damage during Jat stir

All the administrative secretaries of Haryana have been asked to inform the Claims Commission about the details of damage caused to public and private properties during the Jat quota agitation within 30 days.
Stating this here today, a spokesman of the commission said the Haryana government had set up the commission to assess the damage caused to public and private properties on account of the Jat quota agitation in February and fix responsibilities for the same.
He said a written communication in this regard has been sent by Claims Commissioner Justice (retd) KC Puri to all the principal secretaries in the state.
They have been urged to instruct the public as well as private entities under their jurisdiction to file their claims before the commission within 30 days. The claimant should specifically mention against whom the claim was being filed, he added.
The spokesman said the claims related to Jhajjar district could be submitted before Sub-Divisional Magistrate Pradeep Kaushik or the office of the Deputy Commissioner and those related to Rohtak district could be submitted to Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ajay Chopra at the Municipal Corporation office.
Similarly, the claims related to Sonepat district could be submitted with Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO) Assem Siwach at the DTO office, he said.
