The incident took place around mid night over parking issue between foreign and Indian students.
The rival groups pelted stone and damaged college property too.
Foreign embassy officials too had reached the campus at night on getting information about clash.
Last year too, a clash was reported between Indian and foreign students.
SSP Preetinder Singh said the "situation is under control. As preventive measures, additional forces are still deployed in the campus."

All Indian students at the hostel has been told to vacate the hostel rooms while foreign students and female students have been allowed to remain in hostel rooms.
Vice Chancellor P K Gupta held a meeting with senior university officers and extended the semester examination dates.
Gupta said a retired high court judge would conduct an inquiry into the incident and submit report in a week. The guilty students will be rusticated.
