The song and video based on the classic poem "Bol Ke Lab", the first in Kalra's album was released yesterday to coincide with Independence Day.
"Over the summer months we have spent many hours in the recording studio, recording songs which will all come together in a new album, soon.
"The song encourages you to speak out, a fitting message on the anniversary of our independence," Kalra said.
Faiz's poem reads "Bol, ke lab azaad hai tere/Bol, zabaan ab tak teri hai, Tera sutwan jism hai tera/ Bol, ke jaan ab tak teri hai."
