Special cleanliness campaign will be launched in 125 big villages having a population of over 10,000 each in Haryana, to mark the 'World Environment Day' on June 5.
Stating this, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister O P Dhankar said the rural development department has prepared a special plan under which cooperation of social and non-government organisations will also be sought.
Discussions were held at a meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, to empower block samitis and zila parishads.
The sub-committee constituted under Dhankar's chairmanship would soon start work on the fresh BPL survey which would be done by taking the population of 2011 as the base year, as per an official release.
Cooperation of public representatives would also be ensured in this work, Dhankar said.
He said the state government has decided to launch a special recruitment drive to fill 34,000 vacant posts in Group-D category in the state.
