Clerk arrested for demanding bribe from student

Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau today arrested a lower division clerk for demanding bribe of Rs 20,000 from a student for releasing his scholarship in Rajasthan's Alwar district, a senior official said.
The accused, Ved Prakash Sanwaria, posted with social justice department, had demanded the bribe from ITI student Sandeep Kumar Koli for releasing him scholarship of Rs 37,300 of the year 2010-11, IG ACB DC Jain.
After verification of the complaint, a trap was laid and the accused was caught by the ACB team when he was accepting the bribe at a bus stop here, Jain said, adding, that he was placed under arrest.
