The Democratic presidential frontrunner described Donald Trump's campaign - that of a billionaire businessman with no political experience, a penchant for a loose, nasty tongue and no specific policy agenda - as nothing short of stunning as he leads the crowded Republican field by a healthy margin, leaving traditional pundits flummoxed.
Clinton, appearing on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," last night was asked by the host how long she thought Trump would last in the long campaign leading to the US presidential election in November 2016.
Amid laughter from the audience, she added, "I find it amazing."
As former first lady with Bill Clinton, Hillary said she knows how hard a job it is to be president. She also served as secretary of state under President Barack Obama.

"So I'm just sitting there thinking, imagine, you know, all of a sudden, you're in the Kremlin. And somebody comes rushing in and goes, 'oh, my gosh. Did you hear what President Trump said today?,'" she said, again to laughter.
On more serious issues, Clinton again expressed regret over her use of a private email server while working as secretary of state, a practice that is under investigation and is dogging her race to be the first female American president.
But Clinton, who has tended to steer clear of talking about Trump, found herself facing more questions about him, in particular the bizarre issue of his hair.
Trump, with a famously complicated comb-over of blondish red hair, did not let Fallon touch it when he appeared on the NBC show, the host said.
"Of course," Fallon answered, then did so.
"It's real," he said to yet more laughs. "It's real and it's got wave, and it's fantastic, you guys. And it smells great."
Clinton: "You can't say the same thing about the color. But the hair is real.
