Singer Pharrell Williams is set to be feted by music mogul Clive Davis for his success as a songwriter.
The man behind hits like "Get Lucky", "Blurred Lines", and "Happy" has been named this year's recipient of Davis' Legend in Songwriting Award, and the Sony Music boss will present the accolade to Williams at the 12th annual Songs of Hope event on September 15, reported Billboard magazine.
Singer/songwriter Mike Poster and "The Jungle Book" composer John Debney will also be feted at the ceremony.
Previous recipients of the Legend in Songwriting Award include Burt Bacharach, Dr Luke, and Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds.
The annual gathering benefits non-profit City of Hope, a research and treatment centre for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.
