Close shave for Bengal minister Gautam Deb

North Bengal Development minister Gautam Deb and two other Trinamul Congress leaders had a close shave when their vehicle skidded off a road and dangled over a 3,000 feet gorge on Thorbu Tea Estate near Mirik.
Two security guards and the driver were also in the SUV of the West Bengal minister, who is in charge of the North Bengal development department.
None got injured, official sources said.
The incident occurred when Deb was returning from Nari Fram under Sukhia Pokhri block last evening after a meeting organised by the party.
