The cloudburst, which occurred last night in the high altitude areas of Dhamvadi area of Rohru sub-division caused flash floods in Sagoli and Patrali Rivers and Daiti, Gokusadi and Khanyara rivulets washing away five bridges, two windmills and large chunks of cultivated land, reports reaching here said.
A state owned Trout farm also suffered damage in the flood while a Bailey bridge was damaged at Tangupa-Janglik where a HRTC bus was stranded, reports said.
Maximum temperatures dropped by few notches and Una was hottest in the region with a high of 32.6 deg C while Dharamsala recorded a maximum of 26.8 deg C, followed by Solan and Bhuntar 26.6 deg C, Kalpa 23.4 deg C and Shimla 20.6 deg C.
The local MeT office has warned of heavy rainfall at isolated places over the state during next 72 hours and rains and thunderstorm at many places during next five days.
