Overcast skies and scattered rain made for a cold day in the national capital today, giving an intimation of the oncoming winter.
The Safdarjung, Lodhi Road, Ridge and Palam weather stations recorded 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, 1.4 mm and 0.6 mm rainfall, respectively, in the last 24 hours, said a MeT official.
The maximum temperature was at 27.5 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average, while the minimum settled at around 19.7 degrees, five notches above the normal, the official said.
Humidity in air oscillated between 63 and 91 per cent.
The MeT office has predicted similar conditions tomorrow.
"The skies will be partly cloudy. There will be mist or shallow fog in the morning. The maximum and minimum is expected to hover at 29 and 19 degrees, respectively," the weatherman said.
The maximum yesterday was at 31.9 degrees while the city registered a minimum of 17.5 degrees.
