CM asks ministers to fan out in flood-hit areas in Assam

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today directed his cabinet colleagues to visit flood- hit districts to review the prevailing situation and supervise relief and rescue operations, an official release said here.
The ongoing session of the Assam Legislative Assembly was adjourned for three days yesterday to ensure that the elected representatives are in their respective constituencies to ensure proper relief and rehabilitation of the flood affected population.
The current wave of floods has claimed three lives and affected nearly 17 lakh people in the state.
