A twitter complaint by a passenger about "rash driving" by a driver of an MSRTC bus on Mumbai- Pune expressway evoked a prompt reaction from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who not only expressed "apology" but also assured action against the errant driver.
Tagging Fadanvis and Union minister Nitin Gadkari, the passenger, Usha Pratap, tweeted at around 7 PM, "MH 06S9485 #Shivneri #MSRTC Mumbai to Pune #PuneExpressway is driving very rashly in the rain. Zigzagging (sic)."
Around 9 PM, Fadnavis tweeted back, "Apologies! Action will be taken against driver Sandip for rash driving after due inquiry. Bus reached Pune @8.45 pm safely."
MSRTC or Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation operates air-conditioned Volvo buses under "Shivneri" between Mumbai and Pune.
The buses ply on the expressway connecting both the major cities, which is prone to landslides in monsoon and has become slippery due to incessant rains in the past few days.
