CM felicitates winner of National Crafts competition

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today felicitated Prabhanjan Patra, who was adjudged the best in the National Crafts Competition organised by Union Skill Development Ministry.
Patra is the real ambassador of Skilled-in-Odisha vision and an inspiration to the students of crafts and skill, the chief minister said, appreciating the talent and efforts of Patra and wishing him great success in the years ahead.
Chairman of Skill Development Authority, Subrato Bagchi, Odisha Chief Secretary A P Padhi and senior officers were present at the function.
Patra, who hails from Manapur village of Kujanga in Jagatsinghpur district, was a student of ITI, Cuttack in fitter trade during 2014-16, official sources said.
Patra stood first in the state level skill competition in fitter trade and was selected to participate in the 53rd All India Skill Competition held at Kanpur. He stood first in this competition and was declared as "Best Trainee."
He will be awarded a certificate and a cash prize of Rs 50,000, while ITI Cuttack will be awarded as best institute, they said.
