Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today conducted a surprise visit to inspect ongoing works of the Police Command and Control Centre, which is under construction at the Banjara Hills here.
Rao expressed satisfaction over the works which are moving on a fast-track as planned, in the seven acre area which would have 20 floors with a 5 lakh square feet built-up area, an official release said.
The Chief Minister wanted the work to be completed as early as possible.
Rao said in addition to monitoring law and order, the Command and Control Centre would also be monitoring disaster management, festivals and fairs management, among other things, it said.
"The command and control centre which is first-of-its kind in the country and being built with international standards will become a role model and will provide complete safety to the people by fully making use of technological know-how," thereleasequotedRao assaying.
State Home Minister Naini Narashimha Reddy, Ministers Tummala Nageshwara Rao, Laxma Reddy, Chief Secretary S K Joshi and DGP Mahender Reddy accompanied the chief minister, the release added.
