CM lays foundation fordrinking water supply scheme

Chief Minister N Rangasamy today laid foundation of Rs 2.55 crore drinking water supply scheme in Thondamanatham village in Oussudu reserved constituency marking the initiatives of the government to relieve the villagers of acute water supply problem.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that his government was keen about tackling drinking water problem in rural areas by constructing overhead tanks.
The scheme now being implemented in Oussudu envisaged construction of a overhead tank which would have capacity to store 5 lakh litres of water and a sump would also be constructed to store 2.5 lakh litre water.
