"Chouhan used to say that 'Kisaan Mera Bhagwan hai, aur mai uska pujari (Farmers are my God and I am their priest). But farmers are not getting compensation and bonus for their crops despite his tall statements.
"If the head of the state lies on the issue then how he will keep the honour and respect of the farming community," Scindia said, addressing 'Kisan Aakrosh' rally at Kalapipal town in the district.
"They are not getting compensation also," the Congress chief whip in Lok Sabha said.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Sehore district in February, Scindia said, "When he (Modi) came there to hold a public meeting the standing crops of farmers were flattened to make way for people to the venue.

"Now people are being gathered for Modi's public meeting at Mhow tomorrow and a large number of officials are being deployed for gathering people."
Scindia said neither ministers nor the Chief Minister bothered to visit and comfort the families of farmers who had committed suicides in Chambal region.
