CM Rao expresses satisfaction over land records work

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today expressed satisfaction over the progress of 'land records purification' programme taken up in the state since September 15.
Rao, who held a meeting with officials on the exercise, appreciated revenue personnel for their good work, a release from his office said.
The 'land records purification', aimed at addressing disputes concerning land ownership and other aspects, was taken up in 10,875 revenue villages and 1,468 teams of personnel have been formed for the purpose, it said.
It was decided to take up purification of records concerning 2.45 crore acres (under 1.78 crore survey numbers).
In the first phase, examination of records and purification has been taken up in 1,252 villages. These villages have 30.04 lakh acres of land, it said.
Out of the 30.04 lakh acres, land ownership rights have been clarified for 9.48 lakh acres among 11.55 lakh acres that were examined, it said.
The state government plans to utilise the data after purification of land records for its proposed scheme to offer Rs 4,000 per acre towards input cost for farmers.
