The CMFRI will utilise global expertise to popularize recent techniques in the area for better scientific work among the youngsters, a release said here.
Aimed at boosting the research base towards development of an eco-friendly fishery management practices, CMFRI will conduct 21-day national training programme on 'Monitoring Structure and Functions of Pelagic Ecosystem Relevant for Fisheries', associating with the Jawaharlal Nehru Science Fellowship (JNSF) of the Institute, it said.
The training programme, sponsored by National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA), will provide the oceanographic and bio-geochemical background required for the ecosystem based approach for fisheries management, it said.
