Co-passenger molests woman in bus, arrested

A woman was allegedly molested inside a luxury long distance bus by a co-passenger who was later arrested from the bus in Burdwan district.
Superintendent of Police SMH Mirza said the woman was travelling from Salt Lake to Durgapur in the private bus while the accused was sitting beside her.
The accused, a resident of Polba in Hooghly district, allegedly molested her in the bus.
After the woman found a mobile police van at a place between Gangpur and Ullas in the district, she asked the driver to stop the bus and recounted her plight to the police, Mirza said.

The police brought both the woman and the accused to the police station and arrested him on the basis of her complaint.
