Special CBI Judge Bharat Parashar directed the agency to expeditiously file its further probe report as sufficient time has already been granted to it and listed the matter for filing of the report on March 24.
During the hearing, CBI official said that the agency's director had granted approval to the outcome of further investigation and only the final report is now to be prepared for filing in the court. It sought time to file the report.
The court had earlier observed "the matter was getting unnecessary delayed" and sufficient time has already been granted to CBI for filing the further probe report.
The court, which had rapped the CBI for not filing the previous report in a proper format, had later accepted it noting that sufficient time has already lapsed in the matter and asked the agency to file documents in a proper format.
CBI has alleged Koda had favoured Jindal group firms -- Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) and Gagan Sponge Iron Pvt Ltd (GSIPL) -- in allocation of Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block in Jharkhand.
Opposing CBI's contention, all the accused had said there was no evidence to show that there was any conspiracy during the coal block allocation process. They had also denied the allegations levelled against them by CBI in its charge sheet.
