Led by state chief Thakur Randhir Singh, the Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) held a demonstration near Press Club complex here demanding immediate redressal of problems like crisis in cooking gas cylinders and diesel price hike.
"The state government has failed on all fronts of security arrangements and development. There is a high degree of threat to the Panchayat members and even some of them were killed," Singh said.
Supply of gas cylinders is uneven and following the cap on subsidised cylinders, its crisis has increased, he said, adding the government should roll back price of diesel and other essential commodities.
He also sought release of 6th pay commission arrears to the employees, regularisation of daily wagers and contractual employees.
