Coast Guard retrieves bodies of drowned boys

Coast Guard today retrieved the bodies of two boys who drowned in the Bay of Bengal off Chennai coast.
Srinivasan and Sivagurunathan, aged 17 and 16 respectively, drowned while taking a bath behind the Gandhi Statue in Marina beach last night. Their bodies were retrieved today, a Coast Guard release said.
Stating that the strong tidal current along the Marina and steep variant depths of the sea was "not safe" for swimming, Coast Guard said Helicopter CG801 retrieved the bodies of the boys off Chennai coast.
