The couple have been dating for eight years after three years of being engaged and Smulders, 30, said daughter Shaelyn Cado wants to go dress-shopping for the ceremony, reported People magazine.
"She really wants a dress and she wants white shoes," Smulders said.
As the big day draws near and the wedding list is being finalised Shaelyn, who turns three this month, is taking the responsibility of double checking the invitees.
"If people come over she will be like, 'Mama, are they coming to the wedding?' Usually it is a yes," Smulders said.
The 'How I Met Your Mother' star also feels the toddler has learnt that a big party means plenty of desserts.
