Coca Cola to invest Rs 1,000 cr in Karnataka project

Coca Cola will invest more than Rs 1,000 crore for its proposed project at an industrial area in Karnataka, which would employ 500 people.
The project is being established at Kadechur and Badiyala villages of Yadgir District.
Top officials of Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and apprised him of the details about their proposal at Yadgir industrial area, Chief Minister's Office said in a statement.
The Chief Minister assured support to the proposal and advised company officials to provide employment to family members of those whose land would be acquired and to the other locals.
Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages has been allotted 250 acres of land, where they will produce aerated soft drinks and will employ around 500 people, the statement added.
A post on Chief Minister's Facebook page said: "Coca Cola will be investing more than Rs 1000 crore in this project. Our objective is to develop Karnataka as a whole and therefore, we will be focussing on all districts. We will not limit our developmental focus to the centre of power and will ensure employment to our youths in all districts."

Siddaramaiah also today reviewed status of land acquisition and developmental works of industrial area being established at Kadechur and Badiyala villages.
Besides, a proposed Railway Coach Factory has also been allotted 150 acres of land while Mphanite Solutions has been 125 acres in the industrial area, for which 3,232 acres of land had been acquired.
It said Mphanites Solutions Pvt Ltd will be investing Rs 489 crores, generating employment for 1,160 people.
The Railways department had floated a tender for setting up Railway Coach Factory and by March 2015 construction activities will commence, it added.
