Cochin Shipyard today reported more than two-fold rise in net profit at Rs 91.62 crore for the quarter ended on March 31, 2018 compared to a net profit of Rs 41.20 crore in corresponding January-March period of 2016-17.
Total income during the March quarter grew to Rs 638.70 crore as against Rs 567.49 crore in the last quarter of previous fiscal year, the company said in a regulatory filing.
For entire 2017-18, net profit of the company rose by 23.4 per cent to Rs 396.75 crore as against Rs 321.55 crore in 2016-17.
Total income was up at Rs 2,544.28 crore against Rs 2,217.50 crore.
Cochin Shipyard said that its board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 12 per equity per share for fiscal ended March 2018.
Shares of the company closed 1.12 per cent up at Rs 484.30 on BSE.
